The Limited Supply Challenge over at SCS was to make a Get Well card without using flowers. What a perfect challenge for me as flowers seem to be the first thing I grab no matter what the occasion! However, I did have a couple of Get Well stamps that have been languishing in my drawer ever since I purchased them . . . maybe some three years ago! YIKES! Was it really that long ago?? My, how time flies!
I used the paper piecing technique on this card. I stamped the soup can on silver, red and white papers and then cut the parts out to piece them together on my silver base. I also used this same technique on the tissue box. I used my white gel pen to put some accent dots on the tissue box and to color in the brand name on the can. I also used a gold gel pen and a red marker for more finishing touches on the can. The sentiment from SU’s Sincere Salutations set is stamped in Craft White and embossed with white embossing powder.
Supplies: All Supplies are SU with the exception of the Soup Can from Art Gone Wild and the Tissue Box from Inky Antics.
Tip of the Day: POP it with black! I like to use black paper for a little extra WOW in my cards. When you use it as a layer, it will help to really pop the layers above it. When you use it as your main background paper as I did on this card, you will find that any images you put over the top of it will also really pop.
