My daughter turned 13 this weekend and this is the card Steve and I gave to her. She received a Claddagh ring from us. We got it at Irish on Grand in St. Paul. Kari loved her card because it matched the ring box!! She thought I did that on purpose . . . but it was truly coincidence!! We are still eating the cake . . . a HUGE carrot cake that I bought at Sam’s Club. She had to solve 13 clues scavenger hunt style to find her cake which I’d hidden. We laughed a lot as she searched and solved and guessed and begged for help and then finally found her cake.Supplies I used to create Kari’s card:Stamps: Favorite Teddy Bear for the sentiment, Blooming with Happiness Paper: Rose Red, Gable Green, Whisper White, non SU designer paper Ink: Basic Black, Gable Green, Rose Red, Orchid Opulence Accessories: Dimensionals, non SU ribbon, non SU brad, Summer Sun MarkerHave a happy day and thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
Here is my version of the cute punched owl that is all the rage these days. My customers REALLY enjoyed making him at my World Card Making Day Events. I just LOVE how sweet he turned out. On the inside I stamped, “I’m just so proud of you!” Won’t that be perfect when my daughters bring home straight A report cards? I think so!

Hi Kay,
I love your 2 cards. Very sweet and lots of fun. The cake especially is very cool. What ribbon did you use? Looks like something I might have woven and it works wonderfully with the dsp. I love my SU papers but I can’t help peeking at others with a wider range of style (I’m addicted to Flair papers even though I haven’t purchased any yet – I’m a window lust kind of window shopper but SU gets my dollars! – Jean
Happy Birthday to Kari !!!! Her card is so pretty!
Your owl card couldn’t be cuter!
Both cards are really nice I especially like that cute little owl 🙂
You did a FABULOUS job on the owl!
I’m flattered that you liked my original card so much!
Smiles.
