I was asked to be part of the Quality Control Swappers group a couple of years ago and what a great group it is. I participated in two swaps this go round for the Summer Mini Catalog. My first card uses the set called Sweet Scoops. I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on this set . . . it is soooo cute! And, for this card . . . I cased myself! lol! You can see my original card HERE which was based on a Stamping 411 Challenge.
To make the ice cream scoops look positively shimmery, I inked up the scoop with either Rose Red or Pumpkin Pie, but before I stamped it on a scrap of Whisper White, I kissed it with the texture stamp (included with this stamp set) that was inked up in Versa Mark. Then I embossed it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder . . . cut the scoops out and layered them onto my cone. I used just one word from the sentiment . . . “sweet”. I cut it out and layered it onto my image panel. The awesome texture on the base of my card is from the new Impressions Folder called Square Lattice.
Here are the supplies I used to create this card:
