It’s a BOY!! I made a card today to send to my friends on the birth of their new baby son. And, though Carson is a bit young to appreciate this card . . . his big brother, five year old Cooper, will like the snail and puppy dog tail! Just this past Monday, I received my six free stamp sets from Stampin’Up for Sale-a-bration Sales and Recruiting and I used two of those new sets on this card – French Filigree and Everything Nice. I thought the French Filigree looked a bit like “snips” so that is why is used it with Old Olive ink onto my Pear Pizzazz background. Yup . . . Pear Pizzazz is a Sneak Peek into our new “In Colors”. The snail is colored with markers in Chocolate Chip and Pear Pizzazz and then the swirl is drawn in with the fine tip of the Old Olive marker. The blue on this card is Pacific Point, an “In Color” from the past that is returning as a regular line color on July 1. I LOVE Pacific Point and I think it looks really great with Pear Pizzazz.
I found a sketch challenge from a couple weeks back over a SCS that inspired me in my creation of this card. As you can see, I turned the challenge sketch on its side. I really love how this turned out and hope that Jenni, Jeff, Cooper and Carson like it, too.
Have a great day and Happy Stamping!
