Here are a couple more scrapbook pages that my scrapbook club enjoyed putting together last week. One of my customers told me that Not Quite Navy was one of her least favorite colors because she never knew what to match it up with . . . she LOVED this color combination of Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Sahara Sand. I took my clues from the designer series paper called Blueberry Crisp. (Don’t you just LOVE that name? I think I’d buy the paper sight unseen just because I like the name so much … lol!)
The photo mat on the left hand page is 5×7 so the picture is really emphasized. Some of my customers chose to leave the title mat blank until they decided exactly what they wanted to use the pages for. I know that my page will feature my family so I used our Lovely Letters stamp set to create the title mat. My in-laws will soon be celebrating their 50th Anniversary so we gathered for some professional pictures and our colors were khaki, white and either light or navy blue so I think these pages will be perfect for those photos.
This is a close up view of the title mat. I used a combination of die cuts from the Two Tags Die and the Top Note Die to create a fancy background panel. The rosettes on each side are made with the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Die and some flower pieces from the Baskets & Blooms Die.
This is a close up of the butterfly on the left page. I used the Beautiful Butterflies Die and the flowers that are scattered about come from the Blossom Party Die. The accents are our new Basic Rhinestones. I use my handy-dandy Paper Piercer to lift them from their sticker sheet and to place them exactly where I wanted them on my cards and scrapbook pages.
Supplies I used to create the Butterfly Scrapbook Pages:
Stamps: Lovely Letters
Paper: Night of Navy, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, Blueberry Crisp DSP
Ink: Night of Navy
Tools: Big Shot Machine, Top Note Die, Beautiful Butterflies Die, Two Tags Die, Blossom Party Die, Baskets & Blooms Die with Extended Cutting Pads, 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, Circle Punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Sponge to edge the butterflies cut from the DSP and the scallop circles
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Rhinestone Brads for the rosettes on the title mat
Adhesives: SNAIL, Mini Glue Dots, Dotto to temporarily adhere the photo mats until the pictures are fit to them
