One of the coolest things I learned at Convention was how to extend the Candy Wrapper Die so that it fits a full size candy bar. As soon as I saw the general session demonstration, I knew that I would sharing all the how to’s with my Big Shot Class/Club. I decided to share what I learned with you, too! You’ll have to check out the video below.
Here are the supplies that I used:
Stamps: Batty for You (WM 116576)
Paper: Whisper White (100730), Old Olive (100702),Rich Razzelberry (115316), Basic Black (121045), Halloween Designer Series Paper . . . current paper called Frightful Sight (122351)
Ink: Basic Black (101179)
Tools: Big Shot Machine (113439), Candy Wrapper Die (120890), 1 1/4″ Circle Punch (119861), 1 3/8″ Circle Punch (119860), 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch (119854)
WOW! Thank you so much for this phenomenal video tutorial! I was also at Convention but figured as cute as this project was I'd never be able to replicate it because I need clearer instructions – and YOU produced those! Now, if only the Candy Wrapper die and I got along better! LOL! I never find it as simple as "pinching" those ends shut! Thank you so much again! Christine aka The Stampin' Ninja
Hi Kay! Sometimes it is so frustrating to see such a sensational idea … and then realise we don't have this product here in AUS! Sigh! But … I love this gorgeous project! Hugs xxaxx
Thanks so much for your video. It was very clear. Now I'm going to have to watch your other video on making your dies more useable. Thanks for taking the time to share with us non-convention goers.
What a great video, thank you so much for sharing another versatile tip for this die. I ran and made 4 of these right away! One question though, where do you find the sticker paper that you place on your dies? I love this concept and would like to do the same with mine. TIA.
Hi there, I just got the die yesterday and tried your extended version immediately. It works out great – B U T – it always cut through the double laying folds Not everywhere, but still I do have holes in some creases in the middle. Do you know how I could avoid that? Love, Nessie
