Every August we have a special Stamping to Share Recognition meeting. This year we had our Recognition meeting at Davanni’s in Arden Hills . . . so we all enjoyed delicious pizza in advance of the meeting. Yummy!!
Joyce Hall from Hudson, WI was our guest speaker. With the help of our Volume Rollups . . . she is my second level upline. We’ve met several times through the years and we were honored that she was able to join us and talk to us about her Stampin’ Up! story. She has been a demonstrator since 1996 and we all enjoyed hearing about her journey. Here’s a picture of Joyce and I before the meeting got rolling.
After listening to Joyce’s story and passing out prizes for our Year Long Recognition program, it was time to get down to business and stamp! As usual, we did two make and takes. The first make and take demonstrated a technique that we learned at Convention. Mary Kiley designed the beautiful sympathy card above and shared the technique with us. I will share my Make and Take that I cased from Susie Wood soon. Meanwhile . . . here are some of the swap cards that were exchange. Our theme was “Anything goes!”

This swap was created by Cindy LeMire. She used the stamp set called Button Buddies for the flower image. I love the creative take on the leaves . . . using the die cut and the negative images all on the same card!

This Christmas card, created by Cindy Standal uses the stamp set called Rejoicing with You along with the sentiment from Joyous Celebrations. I think Cindy did an amazing job cutting around that angel . . . that’s a true talent!!

Elizabeth Schwerm joined our Stamping to Share Demo Group in May and this was the first time she was able to participate in a swap with us and what a beauty she made to share using our hostess set called Four Seasons!! I love the delicate details of this card . . . such as the scallop trim just barely peeking over the edge of the blue. So pretty!

Sue McNeill out did herself with this amazing three part card!! Here is part one . . . the little peek-a-boo door is just begging to be opened . . .

and when you do open it – – – inside you find a one-eyed mummy!! But the fun doesn’t end there! This is a FULL card and the inside of the card reveals . . .

a couple of dancing Googly Ghouls! Boo! How fun is that??? Sue used the stamp set called Googly Ghouls from the Holiday Mini catalog. The spider web on the front of the card is from Wicked Cool.

Cathy Hobbs spent a lot of time stamping and cutting at the Big Shot machine to create this beautiful card that uses the Daydream Medallions and its coordinating framelit set. The thank you banner at the bottom is from the stamp set called Itty Bitty Banners and it is cut with the coordinating framelit set called Bitty Banners.

Our guest speaker, Joyce Hall, swapped with us too! Here is her card showcasing the DSP called “Chock Full of Cheer.” The little medallion in the center of the card comes from the Delightful Decorations stamp set and the sentiment is from More Merry Messages.

Stay tuned for more fun and swaps in Part 2 of our August Stamping to Share Demo Meeting. Would you like to be a part of our Stamping to Share Team of Demonstrators? I am looking for someone who likes to share their stamping creations and would love to get a “Spooktactular” deal on the Starter Kit!!
