Whew . . . fun but busy weekend . . . and I’m sharing some of the pictures! But first . . . I wanted to share more fun things from the Hip Hip Hooray Kit. On Friday, I posted all about the awesome Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit. I made up all 20 cards and found that I had just a few odds and ends left over. I was putting away things and I thought, “Do I want to keep these pieces, or should I just toss them?” Well . . . maybe I should see if I can make a couple more cards with the leftovers. So I did! Two kind of girly cards and two kind of manly cards.
I swear it took “maybe” 15 minutes tops to put these four card together. I did the stamping using Basic Gray ink, which is provided in the kit. I used all three stamps, which also come in the kit. I used all the leftover die pieces and the clips. I still have quite a bit a twine left. You get a LOT of it in the kit! I really, really like the way they turned out. And, I REALLY like this kit: Click to see at Stampin’ Up! = Product Number for Hip Hip Hooray: 134998. Price: 19.95.
I also dug into my February Paper Pumpkin Kit. NICE bags!! And I love the way they can be personalized. I don’t care for the clips and twine . . . too putzy for me, but I LOVE that I can personalize each bag with the name of the person that I am giving it to! You get lots of letters. My first bag went to my daughter Kasey.
We celebrated her 17th birthday this weekend. I made Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese frosting. It was out of this world delicious – especially with a cup of coffee or tea. We enjoyed it all weekend . . . even for breakfast on Sunday morning! lol! Now, before you go asking me for the recipe . . . I will just go ahead and tell you: it was a BOX MIX from Duncan Hines! lol! And, it was super yummy!
We also moved my oldest, Karel, into an apartment on campus at the University of MN. She has been commuting, but now with a long-term internship on the horizon, she is going to be on campus more than off campus so she might as well live there.
She has wonderful room mates. All of them quite studious, as she is, too, so that will work out nicely. They have an awesome apartment, way nicer than any digs I ever had in college!! Just look at the stadium view from their living room!
Well, I need to run . . . I have lots to do to prep for our Stamping to Share Demo Meeting tonight. My favorite event each and every month!! Today is your last opportunity to take advantage of this week’s deals.
