As many of you are aware, July was kind of a crazy month for me and I got behind in so many ways on so many things. However, I am nothing if not diligent about catching up! Today I am going to share the swaps my group did for our July Anything New Theme. Our swap count was down because some of our regular swappers were elbow deep making Convention Swaps . . . but the swaps I did receive from my group were a “wow!” I dearly hope that you will enjoy them as much as I have been.

Our first card by Mary features the Retiform Technique. It’s all a matter of masking and sponging and stamping. Her “new” was the stamp set called Birthday Blossoms. She also worked in stamps from Everything Eleanor and Choose Happiness. Love those July-like colors of Red, White, Blue and Pool Party!

Dorene’s card was colored in a unique way. She put rubbing alcohol in her Aquapen and then picked up the pooled ink color from the lid of her ink pad and watercolored away on Shimmery White. What a great look. The colors are very vibrant. She used the new hostess stamp set called Best Thoughts, the dragonfly is from Awesomely Artistic and the sentiment is from Tin of Cards.

Sprinkles of Life is our 2015-16 Ronald McDonald stamp set for our Annual Catalog and Linda created a birthday cupcake. This stamp set also coordinates with the Tree Builder punch and talk about versatile! The cupcake topper can just as easily turn into a cloud, leaves on a tree, a pile of flowers or a pile of fall leaves. Take you pick with this stamp set!

Cindy’s card uses the hostess set called Whole Lot of Lovely. She inked the sentiment with markers to get all the different colors. The style of this card leaves plenty of room to show off the Bohemian Designer Series Paper beautifully and the Gold Baker’s Twine is just the right touch.

Faith’s card is so clever! She used a piece of card stock vellum and stamped her images on the front and the back of the vellum to show wonderful depth in this ocean scene. The jellyfish look great heat embossed with white. The stamp set is called From Land to Sea.

Dawn used Sprinkles of Life on a gate fold card that has banners for fun and flair! She tied it all together with Thick Baker’s Twine in Bermuda Bay … who would be able to resist the temptation to open this card? The Bohemian Designer Series Paper is a great way to start the party that’s happening on this card.

And finally, this is the card I created for this swap using the  stamp set called Definitely Dahlia and the the sentiment from Tin of Cards. I’ve already done a how to video for this card that you can see by clicking on Definitely Dahlia in a Vintage Way.
