Birthdays are good reasons to make cards year around, but it seems like January and February are good months to get that birthday file stocked up . . . so that was our February Swap Theme. Enjoy the birthday cards and stay tuned for Part Two tomorrow!!
Laura’s card features a Circle Punch Out Fun Fold card. It uses the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper. Laura highlighted one of the roses by coloring it and then brushing on a bit of Gold Wink of Stella. Of course the subtle glitter in Wink of Stella is hard to capture on camera, but it looks so fab in real life! She used the stamp set called Petite Pairs.
Here is Laur’s card completely open so you can see how it was created. Love the extra touch of designer paper on the inside, too.
Mychelle’s card gets the point across with some repetition! lol! I use the way she accented this card with the It’s My Party Enamel Dots and the Baker’s Twine Combo. She used the stamp sets called Party Wishes and Gorgeous Grunge.
Mary’s card is so bright and beautiful! The color inspiration is from the Designer Series Paper that you see in the background that is out of the Sale-a-bration pack called Wildflower Fields. The balloons are stamped from the stamp set called Balloon Celebration. The cut out fern is from our Botanical Builder Framelit Dies and the sentiment is also from a Sale-a-bration Rewards stamp set called Perfect Pairings.
Karen’s card also uses balloons to celebrate a birthday. The stamp set she uses on this card is called Balloon Builders. The awesome designer series paper is from the 12×12 stack called It’s My Party. The oval cutout really helps these balloon have dimension as they are popped up to look like they are floating right out from the inside of the card!
Want to know how to make every birthday card a bit more personalized? Kim does! Just pop on the number and all can see “who’s turning . . . !” The Number of Years Bundle makes personalizing birthday cards a snap!! The designer series paper that you see in the background is from the 12×12 stack called It’s My Party.
And Faith figured out that who needs to actually “stamp” on a birthday card when Stampin’ Up! has Party Pop-Up Thinlit Dies? I LOVE the way Faith made the Confetti Embossing Folder really look like confetti by coloring in with markers the “confetti!” YES . . . I have downline that are that dedicated to creating the perfect swap card!! Notice the cut out scallops on the cake stand? These little yellow pieces came from the other thinlit in the Party Pop Up Thinlit Dies. And of course, the inside of this card does pop-out!!
Stay tuned for more Birthday Card adventures with my Stamping to Share downline. Part Two comes out tomorrow.
