Our September Stamping to Share Demo Swap was to Share Your Favorites from the Holiday 2016 Catalog. This will be a Three Part Series . . . enjoy Part One Today and then tune in on Thursday for Part Two!
Mary Smallidge’s card featured the Spooky Fun Bundle that includes a stamp set with coordinating Thinlits for your Big Shot Machine. I love the way she sponged some darker streaks across her night sky and that she used a double layer of grass created with her Fringe Scissors. She used the Diagonal Striped Background stamp with black ink across a Tangerine Tango panel for the awesome striped paper that you as one of the layers.
Mary Alice Bellis cased Lynn Tague so she could share a really cool stand up card with us. The front of her card feautured the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper and she also uses the Spooky Fun Bundle. It’s not immediately apparent that something special is going to happen . . .
When you open the card up, Mary Alice decorated the inside with a popped up sentiment and a spider in the corner. You realize at this point that there is a score line on the front panel and that it seems to want to fold! Follow the fold line and . . . look what happens!
You get a really cool stand up easel card! The little house and the moon rise up above the fold. The folded edge tucks easily behind the popped up inside sentiment. Sooooo cute and clever!
Here is another angle for you to look at.
Kim Lundstrom used the Sweet Home Bundle with the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper to make her haunted brick house. In fact, you can see Casper peeking out from behind the open door! The sentiment which goes so perfectly with this card is from Pretty Kitty! The front panel of the card base was embossed with the Seaside Embossing Folder.
Laura Erickson created Halloween Cuteness with the Jar of Haunts Stamp Set . She also used the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper. The background is embossed with the Woodland Embossing Folder. I love how Laura placed a spider near the top of the jar . . . but it might be a trap! Guess that’s one way to catch a spider though!!
