Do you need a few graduation cards? I do!! This is the card I designed for our Creative Crafters Stamping to Share Downline Swap with a “For the Boys” theme. I will be sharing those swap cards with you in the days to come, but thought I would share my own first since graduation is right around the corner! Just like the Disney Card that I posted yesterday, this card uses the negative space from a cut out panel for the main image. I raised the cut out star panel on Stampin’ Dimensionals and it gives fabulous depth to the card as you can see by the shadows. Green and white are the school colors at Concordia Academy where my daughters attend so I will be making quite a few of these! (But they are QUICK as you will see when you watch the video!)

The sentiment on the front of the card is stamped on scratch Whisper White and punched out with the Large Oval Punch. It’s from the hostess set called Tagtastic. There are so many awesome hostess sets this year . . . and only available through the end of the month.

The inside panel is stamped with a perfect graduation sentiment from Word Play and then accented with a cut out star.

You can see how easy it is to change up the colors to reflect your local schools! Here is one in black and red . . . very striking!

This one is “blinged up” just a bit as you can see how it looks with rhinestones. Makes it a tad more “girly” but still nice and quick . . . because we always wait until the last minute to do this stuff, right?

And, I couldn’t resist showing you one more . . . this time using the colors of red and yellow. Every card looks so fresh and clean. I made lots of colors for the swap representing a lot of different schools in the area. Once you get started, it’s kind of addicting! This card will be represented on my May card buffet. Stamping to Share Tip of the Day: Is there a particular hostess set that you would like to have before they are retired forever on May 31?
