This card has a mix of retiring items and brand new catalog images. I love the new catalog set called “Make a Cake.” I decided to get my bears out (the entire Build a Bear line and coordinating stamp images are retiring) and make a birthday card. I used this same image from Make a Cake in another birthday card that you can see HERE. 

My bear from Beary Best Friends is stamped onto Watercolor Paper with the “new” Basic Black Classic ink. After heat setting it, I colored it with my AquaPainter and Watercolor Crayons. The cake was also stamped on watercolor paper, heat set and watercolored with the crayons. The sentiment is from Beary Nice Wishes

The inside panel of the card is “beary basic” but it gets the message across!

Stamping to Share Tip of the Day: When you have a card with a simple design such as I have here, you can add a little bit of pop by using your Simply Scored Tool and created an embossed line 1/4″ around the entire top panel. The Big Shot Machine and our wonderful embossing folders also do a great job of adding texture, even when it’s just a small panel under the main image . . . the texture from the dots in this case, add extra dimension and interest to the card.
