I had a few left over images from my last Hey Chick project and so this card took just a few minutes to put together. It’s amazing the little pieces you can come across when you are cleaning off your work space! I found a Basic Black panel embossed with Hexagons with a doily glued onto it smack dab in the center. I don’t even remember what card I had been attempting to make, but that panel was obviously a reject. When do I ever put anything smack dab in the middle of a panel?
As I pondered that, I noticed the chick already on a So Saffron Scalloped oval and thought . . . hmmmm, maybe that would work over the doily. And, as you can see . . . it did!! I had a strip of Cupcakes and Carousel 6×6 paper also in “the pile” and that seemed like the perfect thing to anchor the bottom of the card. The ribbon and the card base were the only supplies I had to get as the rest of the card was just created from leftover pieces on my countertop. That’s kind of fun, isn’t it?
