I have friends and family who love to embroider. They are REALLY good at it and I’ve received embroidered plaques and wall hangings for various special occasions throughout my life. I was sooooo excited when I saw this stamp set and the coordinating Embroidery Hoops that can be used with it!! When I think of the hours and hours of patient diligence and fine skills that went into creating some of the items I’ve been given over the years it makes me happy that I can finally create a card that is truly perfect for my friends who enjoy embroidery. I won’t mind spending a little more to mail it out in a padded envelope. Afterall, it took me just 15 minutes to make! (As opposed to 15+ hours to embroidery a a wall hanging!) I just wish my mom were still alive so that I could give one to her. She was quite crafty and I guess in some ways, I must take after her. Her fine arts skills however were with embroidery, knitting, crocheting and sewing . . . NONE of which I have ever excelled at!! But, you know, we all are blessed each in our own way. This one, Mom, is for you . . . just because. I love you and I miss you.
I used this card for my January Demonstrator Swap with my downline and turned it into a birthday card by stamping the inside with sentiments from Birthday Banners.
