Stampin’ Up! Free as a Bird Bundle

One of my favorite product suites in the new catalog is Bird Ballad found on pages 90-92. In the card above, I used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut my stitched oval from Watercolor Paper. The image is stamped with Tuxedo Momento Black and then colored in with Stampin’ Blends. The Sprig Punch provided the perfect accents on this easy to make card.

On this card, I ventured into the world of water coloring with my Aqua Painter to create Chickadees. The inspiration came from right outside my window! This time I used the Stitched Nested Labels to put my image and sentiment on. Again, I used watercolor paper, but stamped everything with my Jet Black StazOn Ink which is great for watercolors. To make the nice dark caps and bibs, I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker scribbled onto acetate and then picked up with my Aqua Painter. At the time, I did not realize that this marker is not included in the Neutrals Marker pack. It is a separate purchase. The part number for it is 100082 and it is $3 in my online store. On the other hand, this marker IS included in the Many Marvelous Markers Pack which is on page 180.
